London Fashion Week: trends of spring-summer 2018

London Fashion Week is one of the ‘Big Four’ fashion weeks (along with the New York, Paris and Milan). It takes place in the British capital twice a year, showcasing most recent trends in fashion set by British designers. This time, LFW was all about richness – in fabrics, in styles, in colours and even in venues – the Tate Britain and the National Portrait Gallery opened their doors to the crème de la crème of the fashion world. One of the most noteworthy moments was the fact that Queen Elizabeth II made a surprising appearance at one of the shows. To say that everyone`s eyes were out on stalks is an understatement. So, here are the major trends that dominated the catwalk.

Under the rainbow

However crazy it might seem, but the combination of all the colours of the rainbow is all the rage this spring and summer. It is worth noting that our red peep toe shoes can boast of a fashionable rainbow heel.

This season is obviously about standing out in the crowd, judging by the exuberance of golden and silver textiles spotted on the runways. So don`t miss the chance to tap into this trend by wearing our silver platform sandals from the latest collection.

A predominance of checked textiles such as plaids and tartans is a vivid example of British heritage fabrics making a comeback.

Eye-catching textures are another overarching theme of most LFW shows. Whether these are multi-coloured crystals or a burst of sequins, garments with such embellishments look both posh and glamorous.
